The Talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith. As Katie said, is reversed mystery.

The BFG by Roald Dahl. Enchanting word play. Fantastic child’s delight.

The Maltese Falcon, The Thin Man, Red Harvest by Dashiell Hammett. Private, unethical eyes. Witty and Tough.

Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie. Sad and scary like Michael Jackson.

Essays by George Orwell. Ponderous and pompous, he generally fails.

A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. Quotable lines abound, and virtue’s rewarded.

Catch 22 by Joseph Heller. Blacker than black humor eventually depresses.

The Everyman Anthology of Poetry for Children. Anthology of poetry NOT for children.

About The Site

200 books in 2008. Selected from Everyman's Library. Reading while caring for a toddler and a new baby and running a small business. With daily blog posts chronicling the attempt. Yeah, I'm nuts.
