My Valentine

He works hard six days a week. Up before the sun, even in summer. Building, crafting, perfecting, and managing. Every minute of his work day is packed full but he makes it home early every evening to play with our sons.

He doesn’t mind being interrupted at work or at home. I text him and he responds immediately. Our sons ask questions, try to help, and he answers and lets them.

He keeps lists of things to buy me and stalks sales for fine clothing and booksellers for first editions. His delight in giving to me is palpable.

He loves his mother. Loves to spend time with her and appreciates her generosity to his little family.

He respects his father more than any one else he knows. He is grateful for all his father has taught him and given him over the years.

He is always trying to learn more, be more, give more. He reads good books. Researches woodworking techniques and management strategies. Gets up earlier so he can get his work done and then take his sons hiking or me on a date.

He is humble, charitable, and strong and I love him more and more every day.
