Unusually Receptive

So I’ve had this blog for several years now and I’ve found it to be a a very good part of my life.  I enjoy posting here and have very much enjoyed getting to know new people through this venue.  I like being a hostess and hosting my readers is very easy.

Still, 200 books has foundered of late.  I’ve been very busy this past year (nothing new, really) and that busyness has not lent itself to regular posting.  Of course the original premise of the blog is gone, I am not now, nor have I been for some time, attempting to read 200 books in a year.  I know that the books are what brought me my original readers but I have no clue of the current makeup of my audience and what aspects of my writing are interesting to them.  I have no intention of developing a new “theme” but I am curious what bits of the hodge-podge are worthwhile to others.

Very few of those of you who read take the time to comment, but I would be unusually receptive to input on this post.  I am mulling over my time management and long-term goals right now and me (and my ego) would love to know what you like.  Recipes?  Book – talk?  Academic life?  The family stuff? Philosophizing?  Moment by moment accounts of my day?  Oh wait…that’s what Twitter is for…

Do chime in.
