It’s nothing earth-shattering, but I enjoyed Samuel Shellabarger’s Tolbecken last night. Â Shellabarger wrote historical novels like Captain from Castille and I’ve enjoyed his books as pleasant distractions with fun plotlines and thoughtful treatment of historical ideas and events.
