Just in case anyone was under an illusion…

…about what kind of mother I am.

Yes. Those are my babies. In their pajamas. Eating a tub of leftover brownies for breakfast. They are homemade if that helps.

Well, obviously, you are the best mom EVER! :)

I'm sure they love you for it. I think they will especially appreciate your ways when they are older. Plus you are a wonderful cook!

    Oh wow…those brownies look wonderful.
    …Mommy….?

Makes me wish I was your kid.

Of course, once mom gave us mint chocolate chip ice cream and chocolate cake for breakfast.

I think I ate oatmeal cookies for breakfast on Tuesday. It's just the same.
You are doing those boys a great service by feeding them brownies, they will grow up to be more tolerant and broadminded than those poor children who breakfasted on nothing but cheerios and granola.
Anyway, I am getting set to start the Atomic Bomb book ion Friday. I know that you can finish it in half the time it will take me, I just wanted to ask if you have a copy of the book.
Is it hard to locate? It's hard to carry around.
My respect for you and your photographic memory grows daily. I am convinced that I am not up to the task of 100 books, but your inspirational blog pulls me forward.

I'm back , to bug you.
The photo of your boys was here on the screen. My two year old, who talks something like George of the Jungle, says.."Hey….babies….eating…brownies…I want to go there… eat brownies …..with babies….in they jamas."
So, your little men are the envy of their peers all over the continent.

The boys will be glad to hear that they are envied. I was a good mom and fed them yogurt and fruit for breakfast this morning…

I'd like to start the book with you and saw a copy at our local B&N but I'm a bit short on cash so I'm not sure I can swing it and read along.

I'm plowing through City Of God right now and LOVING it but my writing has been taking up all my reading time. I wonder if I'll end the year under 100 titles myself.

Hang in there! Lots of running and reading left for you. Last year's project was one of the best experiences of my life so I encourage you to stick with it. The sense of accomplishment alone is amazing and those books will be with you forever.

Have you read Evelyn Waugh yet?

Here's something funny, I just got home from the bookclub where we discuss Ulysses. I finished the book last month. At bookclub tonight I could not remember anything about it. It was like my brain had been erased. Panicky embarrassment followed. There are six books on top of it in my head. I think it died from lack of oxygen.
I will send you my copy of the Atomic Bomb book when I finish…..in three weeks or so. But I don't have your address, could you e-mail it to me?
I haven't read Evely Waugh, am saving him for a June camping trip.

You are so sweet to offer it to me. I would love to have your copy…sword of a general gone before…

That is sad about the death of Ulysses. Maybe you'll read it again someday.

    That camping trip is lucky!
