To Kill A Mockingbird

I hadn’t ever read this one before. No really. And I haven’t seen the movie either…

This was the first of my “Pulitzer Prize” books from my challenge with Jessica. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and really had a hard time putting the book down. And having been a tomboy myself I found Scout a very sympathetic character.  I wa surprised by how much was going on in the book. It wasn’t a straightforward story about a trial, it was a complex and layered story about a trial and a recluse and a little brother and sister and a friend with a difficult home life and family obligation and…lots of other things. Highly recommended.
