Probably because I wasn't forced to read it during a youthful summer when I'd just bought a fresh stack of Archie's Digest comix, I actually like the Aeneid a lot better than either of Homer's works. True, he just apes the story of the Odyssey, then indecorously introduces an Iliad-like conflict, but it all somehow works for me.

You could just get him a catheter. If he turns out to be a gamer it will be an asset later in life.

I prefer the Odyssey. The only reason I can think is that it was the first of the two that I read. It was too long ago, too. I'll have to read them again.

I'm away for the New Year and may not be near a PC (yes, believe it or not, even today this can happen), therefore Mandi, if you reach your target, and I expect you will, congratulations on a brilliant achievement and a very happy New Year!

Hum...the eyeballs rolling sounds interesting...but isn't that an odd reason for it to be your favorite?
