Day Two Hundred and Sixty Nine

I’m tired of updating my daily page count. It’s getting depressing. I’m some six thousand pages behind where I should be and seriously beginning to wonder where the extra time is going to come from in the next few months. I’m just going to keep track over on the list page of how many titles I have left to read. That will be easier and maybe more dramatic. This is just for the 2.5 of you out there that still care whether I make my goal or not.

So here I am…with 59 books to finish before December 31st.

I was so very busy yesterday with laundry (still not done), more applesauce making (finished and cleaned up after) and two fussy little boys. I didn’t get more than half the reading done that I needed to and I went and forgot that it was book club night. Fortunately as Jared and I left on a walk we went on the same route that Aimee was arriving on. She and I enjoyed a brief discussion of the novel and she played with the babies and then that was it. I think she’s forgiven me for being so forgetful. Let’s hope anyway. The book for our next meeting (in two weeks) will be The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
