Day Thirty-One
Democracy in America by Alexis De Tocqueville Page: 159
Fairy Tales by The Brothers Grimm Page: 386 Finished
A sick baby (Alex) meant that I didn’t go into the bookstore today; I stayed home and did five loads of laundry. He’s just running a low fever but is very fussy and wouldn’t have been happy trying to maintain equanimity at the bookstore. I feel woefully disconnected from the world and more relevant to this blog…I didn’t get much reading done. Alex wanted to be held nearly every minute he was awake and the two hours he did sleep so did I. I can’t remember the last time I got a real nap but it was glorious and I can’t believe that Luc slept at the same time; any mom could tell you that is incredibly rare. Quinn came by this evening to hang out with me and I took the opportunity to run to Walgreen’s to get some of the rebate stuff they had (my MIL turned me into a rebate fanatic and while I’m half ashamed of myself for being such a dork, I save so much money by never paying for shampoo, bodywash, toothpaste, deodorant or toothbrushes I’m also half proud) and stopped by Veritas to get a latte. She made pizza dough and then we put together some super simple homemade pizza out of the few ingredients I had (spaghetti sauce, colby jack and sausage).
I don’t remember much from what I did read and I just got one kid to sleep and the other needs held so this pathetic little post will have to do for today. I did update the “List” page by noting which books I’ve already bought so if your interested you can check that out.
